Commission Information

Fri May 22, 2009, 9:19 AM
:bulletred: Commission Pricing and Other Information :bulletred:

Please do not commission me unless you intend to go through with it.

+ Materials/Pricing +
18x24 Drawing paper
19x24 Bristol Board (For Mixed Media only.)
The materials I can use are:
- Mixed Media: $70 - 100
- Ballpoint Pen: $70 - 100
- Color Pencil: $40 - 80
- Graphite Pencil: $30 - 40

+For World of Warcraft Characters+
I need at least 3 screenshots to start with. One from the front, and one from either side. This allows me to see all sides of the armor/weapon (unless weapon is equiped on the back, then I need a screen of that as well).
NOTE: You must already own the armor you want to be drawn in!! I don't want someone who is a lvl 20 to come up to me and draw them in so and so lvl 70 armor. No, you have already had to earn that armor. Sorry but I just feel that is more fair.
For poses, unless you have something specific, I can draw up sketches and see which one you like the most.
As a personal thing, I like to add the characters name into the drawing. For instance, either as a banner or as runes. If you do not want your name on the drawing, I need to know.
For more information, please Note me.

+ Will/Won't Do +
I can draw almost anything you'd like, even tattoo designs. The only things I refuse to draw are pornography, and mechanical things (a little bit is okay but not like a complete robot).
Also, I can do humans but I prefer animals/mythical creatures.

+ Important! +
I can accept Paypal, money orders or checks.
I also ask for half of the money up front and I need at least 2 weeks to finish the drawing. Once the drawing is completed I will let you know so I can get my other half of the payment. Once I do I will send the drawing out.
I do retain rights to the image and I will post it on my gallery.

+ Extra +
I am usually always negotiable with my pricing.
If you'd want WIP images, I can do that, I just need to know.
If you want just a large sketch of whatever, that is possible! Just let me know!
S&H is included in the prices above.

+ Contact +
If you are interested, feel free to Note Me here on DA with your idea! You can e-mail me at blackredlion@hotmail.com but because I tend to loose e-mails, it's at your own risk.
Any questions or anything, such as sending an idea just to see how much it would cost, feel free to contact me! I won't bite, promise!

Hello everyone!!

Tue Oct 28, 2008, 10:44 PM
Hey everyone!

I finally uploaded some artwork.
It isn't the greatest but I'm proud of it for not having drawn for about 5 months or so.

Things have really looked up for me.
I've been continuing the search to getting in touch with my spiritual side as well as having the love and support from my friends and family.

The best thing is that my ex-boyfriend and I are on excellent terms and life couldn't be better right now.

Sadly, even though I am very excited to draw again, I won't be able to for probably a week or so. While framing my new Hallowe'en picture, I sliced a finger on my right hand (my drawing hand) and its really awkward to hold a pen or pencil of any type.

I hope to update soon. My Hallowe'en drawing was only the beginning and I'm excited!

Thank you one and all for your comments, they kept me going!

UPDATE:
Hey everyone,
I am still in my major art block but in attempt to get out of it I have been playing around with a new media, Henna!
I love the smell of it and its really fun to play with. My legs are completely covered. =D

I will be making a new folder for my Henna work since I hope that I can get good enough to take it to fairs and events, including my dance events.

Henna is a tradition and a beautiful art form. I respect those who use it for religious purposes and my images are mixture of my style and traditional as well as playful.

I am also venturing into a new and exciting form of work. I don't want to say too much but I am hoping it will provide a little extra income so I can get back into my drawing and experiment.

Thank you one and all for your kind words you have given me in previous posts.

Take care!

I am still having my art block.

I have a new WoW drawing that may eventually be posted. It's inked and has the basic layer of color down but no motivation to continue it even though it is a special gift for someone I care about.

I don't have an excuse.
I just don't feel much like drawing anymore.
It is so hard to type those words and admit them to myself but it's the truth.
I have a furaffinity account, I joined a community on livejournal and nothing. Sure I have good comments and faves but it isn't anything I haven't heard already and it's all on older work.

Its getting to the point that I feel that no one cares about my work but me. I'm not expecting fame, but it would be nice to have a commission here and there when I open them but there have been no takers. Its nice to know that I can inspire one person.

Art has and will always be part of who I am as an individual. I choose to study art in college, I choose to continue on my own.

But I just don't feel the magic anymore.

I will continue to update when I get around to making new work.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support and your kind comments. It gives me hope that my art is not gone.

On New Art

Wed Aug 13, 2008, 5:40 AM
Hey,

Every time I look at my gallery the more I realize how far it's been since I last updated.

In all honesty, I've had absolutely no motivation to pick up a pencil and draw.
I also have zero money to purchase more art paper and since I don't want to draw on computer paper, I'm really in a rut.

Each time I have these breaks, the more it seems that I think "what's the point."
Art has been, since I was little, my life, and my dreams.

I miss drawing. But anything I produce I don't feel fit enough to post.
I resort to fanart and it's driving me nuts. I don't like drawing fanart if I can avoid it but here I am.

I don't think I can ever give up art, but the confidence I had in myself isn't there anymore.
I could blame my emotional problems I've been having for the lack of motivation. I could blame my complete lack of money from a job that pays like crap (but I am grateful for having a job nonetheless) but I'm not.
My ideas are still special to me, my ideas, to an extent are still original.
I just need to stop making excuses.

But I must admit, this is the biggest art block I've ever had.

Hello one and all!

Mon Jul 21, 2008, 8:46 PM
Hey guys,

I know I haven't been updating much but as I look at my gallery and reflect, I have learned a lot since I left school but I still have yet to find the right path I want to take with my art. My art right now seems so boring, it follows the same lines and I'm kinda sick of it. (I'm also sick of resorting to fanart..)

I'm going to start steering myself into a whole new direction. Animal spirituality.
I know there are many artists who follow a (somewhat or total) spiritual path with their artwork and many I have seen so far always fall to that one animal in particular (Trust me, there is nothing wrong with that. If that's what one's muses call for, I say go for it!)

Even though that is a great calling, I want to try and broaden my horizons and follow the paths of different animals rather than fall to one. (Which would be tigers of course!)

I am also hoping to do more goddess and belly dance spiritual artwork. (I'm sure I'll throw some men into it.)
I want to see if I can bring back my darker side. It used to be pretty strong and I almost miss it.
There may be a hint of my old characters springing up too such as my King of Hopeless Dreams, Bruno, and a couple more. (For those who know who they are. =D )

Thanks for everyone who has stopped by, it is always greatly appreciated.
