College Project
for Drawing II.


this...is...my...best...project!! *ahem* at least that's what i think. this is the best one i've come out with this semester.

now some background information.
this is Ra (or Re, however you like to say it) from egyptian mythology. he is known to have a hawk head and is considered the god of the sun, the god of antiquity and also the father of the gods. (NOW, before you all lecture me that i'm wrong, DON'T. my information may not be correct, this is only my rendering from one site that i found.)
anyways, what is on his head is a called a sun disc and the snake represents protection. (i cannot think of the real name for it at the moment.)

also, this is a birthday gift for my love even though his birthday is a month away still it makes me sad he'll see it early. oh well! =D

ballpoint pen and prismacolor pencils on 18x24 drawing paper. (2 inch border around drawing.)

This one is awesome, I like the realism and detail in your pictures, they never cease to amaze me. Another awesome one!

:worship: This is so beautiful! The title fits it so perfectly too. You did a wonderful job on Ra, the detail and texture of the feathers is incredible! He's very bird-like, but very human at the same time. Im really just in awe of the whole piece. Absolutely wonderful! :+fav:
